Nigerian Society for Financial Research is a multidisciplinary society consisting of scholars and professionals with keen research interests in finance and allied studies. It is a non-profit professional organization aimed at providing good forum for exchange of ideas and research findings among members in both theoretical and applied financial studies.

The primary objective of the Society is to promote research and scholarship in finance and related studies with emphasis on major financial and economic issues facing Nigeria. It also aims at extending the frontier of financial research in the country through conferences, workshops, seminars, journals publications, and by providing research assistance to members.

  • To conduct seminars, and conferences on topical financial issues affecting the country with the view to making appropriate recommendations.
  • To encourage serious research activities and promote scholarship in financial studies.
  • To publish reports and proceedings of seminars and conferences.
  • To publish a bi-annual journal known as Nigerian Journal of Financial Research and other bulletin as vehicles for disseminating research findings to members.
  • To source research and training grants for members to enhance their research capabilities.
